Right to Information Public Disclosure

Information released as an assessed disclosure

We may publish information we release in response to a request for assessed disclosure of information made under the Right to Information Act 2009, where that information is determined to be in the broader public interest. We will do this within 48 hours of the information being released to the applicant.
This approach makes released information of public interest available to a wider audience and increases Government transparency and accountability.

We may remove information from the disclosure log after 12 months, unless the information has enduring public value.
If you are an applicant, you should note that:

  • if we grant you a waiver of the application fee on the basis of general public interest, and we determine that the information is in the broader public interest, we are likely to publish the released information;
  • we will not publish your personal information or identity (we will publish the category, i.e. Member of Parliament, media representative, private individual) and a summary of your request;
  • we will only publish information that is considered to be in the broader public interest;
  • we will not publish exempt information of a commercial or confidential nature.

You can find more information in TASCORP’s Right to Information Policy.
